About The Saddler Literary Agency

The Saddler Literary Agency was founded by John Saddler in 2001. Among its clients have been: the 1993 Whitbread Prize winner Joan Brady; the award-winning crime writer Declan Hughes; novelists Nicholas Royle, James Miller, Susan Barker and Joe Stretch; bestselling popular reference writer Russell Ash; true-crime writer Duncan Staff; historians Nicolette Jones, Kate Williams, Ian Thompson, Sarah Wise, Charles McKean, Jonathan Miles and Kelly Grovier; travel writer Jamie Ivey; television personalities Selina Scott and Adrian Chiles; football referee David Elleray; and sports writer Pat Butcher.

The agency runs alongside the consultancy and where appropriate will be open to representing consultancy clients on standard agency terms subject to mutual agreement. There will be no obligation on either side to do this and we are happy to recommend other agents that clients may approach for representation.
